• Holiday Tree Lighting <br />• Due to inclement weather, the Holiday Tree Lighting was rescheduled to Thursday, <br />December 15. The tree lighting is scheduled for 6:00 pm. Enjoy cookies and cocoa <br />provided by the Ramsey Lions and get a picture with Santa from 5:30 - 7:00 pm. <br />• Winter Walking Series <br />• Stay active this winter by walking the trails in Ramsey! Join us on the second <br />Monday of the month December — March from 5:30 — 6:30 pm to walk the trails at <br />our parks in Ramsey. <br />• Photo Contest <br />• The deadline for the 2022 Photo Contest is next week. Attached to the Weekly Update are the Parks <br />and Recreation Event Flyers. <br />Come Work With Us! <br />The City of Ramsey is hiring for the following positions: <br />• Police Officers (2 Onenino). The primary objective of these positions is to perform <br />responsible police work involving the protection and safety of the community through <br />prevention and control of crime, maintaining or restoring public order, investigating crime, <br />regulating traffic, enforcing laws and providing emergency services; as well as other <br />related duties as required. These are full-time LELS-Patrol union positions. The 2023 <br />hiring wage is $32.460 per hour. The Ramsey Municipal Center will be serving as a drop off location for <br />recycling holiday lights. All strands of holiday lights, whether they work or not, can be dropped <br />off at the Ramsey Municipal Center (7550 Sunwood Drive NW) during regular business hours <br />(Monday — Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm) beginning December 1 through the end of January, <br />2023. All light strands will be recycled and there is no cost to residents for this service. Please <br />remember that while strands of holiday lights are recyclable, they cannot be placed in your <br />curbside recvclin2 cart.
