PROPOSED ORDINANCE #05- <br /> <br /> CITY OF 1L4MSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 9 WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE ZONING AND <br />SUBDIVISION OF LAND CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, <br />MINNESOTA. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE RENUMBERING THE EXISTING SUBSECTION 9.11.14 <br /> <br />"COMPLIANCE" TO 9.11.15 AND ADDING 'A NEW SUBSECTION 9.11.14 <br />"EXTERIOR SOLID FUEL-FIRED HEATING DEVICES" TO CHAPTER 9 OF THE <br />CITY CODE .OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey ordains: <br /> <br />SECTION 1 AUTHORITY <br /> <br />This ordinance is adopted pursuant to and under the authority of the charter of the City of <br />Ramsey. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. AMENDMENTS <br /> <br />Subsection 9.11.14 (Compliance) of the City Code shall be renumbered as 9.11.15. <br /> <br />Subsection 9.11.14 of the City Code shail be amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />9.11.14 <br /> <br />Exterior Solid Fuel-Fired Heating Devices <br /> <br /> Subdivision 1. Definitions. The following words and terms, as used in this <br />Subsection, shall be construed as herein defined. ~ <br /> <br /> Exterior Solid Fuel-Fired Heating Device - An external device designed for <br />solid fuel combustion so that usable heat is derived for the interior of a building, and includes <br />solid fuel-fired stoves, fireplaces, solid fuel-fired cooking stoves, and combination fuel furnaces <br />or boilers which burn solid fuel. Solid fuel-fired heating devices do not include natural gas-fired <br />fireplace logs. <br /> <br /> Public Nuisance- Maintaining or permitting a condition which tm_reasonably <br />annoys, injures or endangers the, health, morals, decency, safety, or public peace so that such <br />activities affect the comfortable enjoyment of life or property. <br /> <br /> Subd. 2. Permits. A mechanical permit shall be required to install any exterior <br />solid fuel-fired h. eating device within the City. <br /> <br />Subd. 3.
