priority is their larger cities where with Juran and Moody the City would be the number one <br />client. <br /> <br />Councilmember Anderson stated that if Juran and Moody is such a good company then why do <br />they not have any of the big cities. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec replied that Springsted is very political, selling to administration and finance <br />officers for the larger cities. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Colmolly, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to recommend <br />that City Council adopt the resolution Awarding Financial Advisory Services to Juran and <br />Moody. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Councilmember Hendriksen inquired as to what type of commitment the <br />City would have with Juran and Moody. Finance Officer Lurid replied one year. <br />Councihnember Hendriksen inquired if the one year is required. Finance Officer Lund replied <br />no, explaining that the City is not signing any contract. Consensus was to review the services of <br />Juran and Moody after six months. Councilmember Anderson stated that she has some <br />reservations because the City is limiting itself to t~vo firms and questioned if Juran and Moody <br />will have the staff to accommodate the needs of the City. Finance Officer Lund replied that the <br />staff assigned by Springsted have been with Springsted for less than six months. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Connolly, Hendriksen, Anderson, <br />and Zimmerman.
