Each <br />category includes special services or activities. The types of expenses that are included in each category can vary <br />from city to city. Expenditures generally found within each of these categories include those for salaries and costs <br />tbr benefits; basic operating expenses and capital outlay. <br /> <br />General Government - Expenditures under the general government categcry include expenditures associated <br />with the' following cost centers or activities: Mayor and Council <br /> Commissions (Charter, Planning, and Horse Care) <br /> Administration <br /> Finance <br /> Assessing <br /> Legal Services <br /> Planning and Zoning <br /> Data Processing' <br /> General Government Buildings <br /> Newsletter <br /> <br />Public Safety - Expenditures under the public safety category include expenditures associated with the <br />fbllowing cost centers or activities: <br /> Police Protection <br /> Fire Protection <br /> Building Inspection <br /> Civil Defense <br /> Traffic Engineering <br /> Animal Control <br /> D.A.R.E.
