<br />City Clerk Schmidt said yes and the ballots were not returned to Anoka County until the Thursday <br />after the election. <br /> <br />Councilmember Musgrove asked for confirmation that the numbers went up that night. <br /> <br />City Clerk Schmidt said yes the numbers get modemed directly from the polling locations. <br /> <br />Councilmember Musgrove stated it seemed the votes came in a lot later this year, she asked when <br />Ramsey got their numbers to the County. <br /> <br />City Administrator Hagen shared he believed the State’s website was updated around 9:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Councilmember Specht said he thought it was after 10 p.m. <br /> <br />City Clerk Schimdt shared the earliest precinct modemed around 8:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Councilmember Musgrove brought up that there were software issues at the primary election in <br />August, she asked if there was any feedback on this. <br /> <br />City Clerk Schmidt shared that the poll pads were able to update and connect. <br /> <br />Councilmember Musgrove asked if spoiled ballots could be rectified. <br /> <br />City Clerk Schmidt stated that a new ballot would be issued in place of the spoiled ballot, if the <br />ballot were to be clawed back, there is a period of time to change the vote. <br /> <br />Councilmember Musgrove asked who determines that voting is open at City Hall on Saturdays <br />and Mondays. <br /> <br />City Clerk Schmidt shared this is a State Statute and they will hire more election judges to help in <br />2024. <br /> <br />Councilmember Musgrove asked if the State compensates for the extra time and poll workers since <br />this is a State Statute. <br /> <br />Councilmember Howell asked if the State shared why the votes were reported much later than <br />usual. <br /> <br />City Clerk Schmidt said she did not know and there will be a follow up meeting with the County. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Woestehoff, seconded by Councilmember Howell, to accept and <br />declare the results of the 2022 General Election. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Kuzma, Councilmembers Woestehoff, Howell, Musgrove, <br />Riley, and Specht. Voting No: None. <br />Canvas Board / August 12, 2022 <br />Page 2 of 3 <br /> <br />
