9.15.08 <br /> <br />9.15.09 <br /> <br />All towers must be designed So that the tower site and setbacks will contmn <br />guyed wires, debris, and the tower in the event of a collapse, except towers <br />ofmonopole design. <br /> <br />Tower Setbacks. Towers shall confohn with each of the following requirement,s: <br /> <br />No part of any communication antenna or tower, equipment, guyed wires, or <br />braces shall at any time extend across or over any part 9f the public right-of-. <br />way, public street, highway, sidewalk, or recreation trail. <br /> <br />In Business and Industrial Zoning Districts, towers shall meet the setbacks <br />of the underlying zoning district with the exception of industrial zoning <br />districts, where towers may encroach into the side or rear setback area, <br />provided that the side or rear. property line abuts another non-residential <br />zoned property and the tower does not encroach upon any easements. <br /> <br />Towers constructed within Residential Zoning Districts shall maintain a <br />minimum setback equal to 1.5 times the height of the tower from any lot <br />line. <br /> <br />d. Towers shall not be located between a principal structure and a public street, <br /> with the following exceptions: <br /> <br />I. In industrial zoning districts, towers may be placed within a side yard <br /> abutting an internal industrial street. <br /> <br />On sites adjacent to public sireets on all sides, towers may be placed <br />within a side yard abutting a local street.` <br /> <br />The setback shall be measured between the base of the tower located nearest <br />the property line and the actual property .line. <br /> <br />A tower's setback may be reduced or its location in relation .to a public <br />street var/ed, at the sole discretion of the City Council, to allow the <br />integration of a tower into an existing or prop6sed structure such as a church <br />steeple, light standard, power line support device, or similar structure. <br /> <br />Tower Height <br /> <br />In residential districts, the height of a communication tower shall not exceed <br />one hundred and twenty (120) feet. 'In commercial .districts, the height of a. <br />communication tower shall not exceed one hundred sixty-five (165) feet. In <br />industrial districts, the height of a communication tower shall not exceed <br />one hundred seventy-five (175) feet. The City Council may increase the <br />height of a tower if the applicant is able to demonstrate to the satisfaction of <br /> <br /> <br />
