The primary objective of these positions is to perform responsible police work involving the protection and safety of the community through prevention and control of crime, maintaining or restoring public order, investigating crime, regulating traffic, enforcing laws and providing emergency services; as well as other related duties as required. These are full-time LELS-Patrol union positions. The 2023 hiring wage is $32.460 per hour. Application deadline is open until filled, apply immediately if interested • Building Maintenance Worker. The primary objectives of this position are to assist in maintaining city facilities including building, offices, meeting rooms, HVAC equipment and grounds of the Ramsey Municipal Center, Fire Station 1 and 2, Central Park, Elmcrest Park, Public Works Facility and the Municipal Parking Facility. This is a full-time AFSCME union position working 40 hours per week: Monday through Thursday 1:30 pm to 10:00 pm and Friday 11:00 am to 7:30 pm. The 2023 hiring range is $21.505 to $23.656 per hour. Application deadline is open until 11: 59 pm on Sunday January 8, 2023. • Engineering Technician II. This position will assist in the application of principles, methods and techniques of civil engineering technology and will perform support engineering work including construction inspection and materials testing, land surveying, plan review, and public service duties related to public works. This position will also perform routine and entry-level technical engineering work to support the construction of sewer, stormwater, street, and water systems, and other public works projects and programs. This position may also assist with snow plowing and general maintenance of public streets, parks, right-of-way's, sewer and water systems, parking lots and other municipal facilities and/or equipment. This is a full-time AFSCME union position working forty (40) hours per week. The 2023 hiring wage is $29.007 to $31.908 per hour depending on qualifications. Anyone else's recycling bins overflowing with cardboard? We've got you covered! Now through January 20, 2023, there will be two cardboard recycling dumpsters available for residents to recycle all those extra cardboard boxes that have been piling up. The dumpsters are located at the old Public Works campus - 14100 Jaspar Street NW. Please break down and flatten all boxes to help conserve space in the dumpsters. These dumpsters are for cardboard and other recyclable paper only.
