The Grove

The dancing water fountain drew
people to the ~ea when ~e
music/show sta~ed. It was a great
place for pa~ons to meet or hang out
during the day.

~e trolley se~ice offered within
center was a ~eat way for elderly
not have to walk ~at much and
offered p~entS'with kids ~
oppo~uniW to catch a bre~ and go for
a ride.

The center green space was a great area to
hold children's programs on a reoccurring
basis, bands on weekends and at nights, and
for holiday showcases. The only issue was
the constant stampede of people caused the
grass to be resodded every month.

The developers of The Grove toured
numerous main street programs to bring a
Main Street feeling within the center. That
feeling pulled people into the area and made
you want to go down the streets and the side
alleys.

The theater had an old fashion design,
while offering all of the amenities, new
theaters offer today. The old fashion
design was also accompanied with the
staff wearing the old movie uniforms.

Street events and street vending within
The Grove was a nice amenity. The
Management Company was in charge of
renting the space; however, these vendors
could cause tension from permanent
tenants bringing on more competition.
