CC Work Session 2.3. <br />Meeting Date: 01 / 10/2023 <br />Information <br />Title: <br />2023 Legislative Priorities <br />Purpose/Background: <br />On December 13, 2022 Council held the first discussion on the 2023 Legislative Priorities. Attached is a draft <br />document identifying those priorities. Senator Bahr and Representative Niska have been invited to this evening's <br />Work Session to review these priorities with the Council <br />At the last meeting, Council expressed interest in identifying the Closed Landfill, Northstar Rail and State <br />Divisions within the 2023 priorities. Since that meeting, staff has reviewed the items and are recommending no <br />formal language is presented to legislatures at this time. Work is being done at the staff level and in the coming <br />year more information will likely become available to better address legislative needs in the future. <br />Timeframe: <br />Funding Source: <br />Responsible Party(ies): <br />Brian Hagen, City Administrator <br />Outcome: <br />Provide final direction on 2023 Legislative Priorities and review such with our State Legislatures.
