Councilmember Cook introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #05-11-393 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING STAFF TO BEGIN THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS <br />FOR AN INVESTIGATIVE SERGEANT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has spent several months discussing new positions to be <br />created as part of the 2006 budget; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there seems to be consensus that the Investigative Sergeant position will be <br />approved as part of the 2006 budget. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the <br />Personnel Committee to grant staff authorization to begin an internal recruitment process <br />for an Investigative Sergeant. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />Upon inclusion in - and approval of - the 2006 budget, the name of the individual <br />selected to fill this position will be brought forward for approval for hire. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Jeffrey, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Cook <br />Councilmember Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Olson <br />Councilmember Pearson <br />Councilmember Strommen <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
