Case #3: Request for a Conditional Use Permit to Establish Warehouse Operations as <br /> an Accessory Use to an Office Building in the B-3 Highway Business District; <br /> Case of Jerry Thell Construction <br /> <br />A~ng Chmrperson Nixt closed the regular portion of the Planning Commission meeting at 8:12 <br />p.m. in order to conduct the public hearing. <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />.AkA~g Chairperson Nixt called the public hearing to order at 8:12 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />City Planner Rasmussen stated City Staff recommends tabling this case to the next Planning <br />Commission meeting and directing the applicant to make the necessary modifications to the site <br />plan submittals. <br /> <br />Commissioner Johnson suggested the public hearing be left open and continued to the next <br />meeting which will be the first Tuesday in June. <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />Larry Johnson, 14322 Alpaca Street, stated this warehouse would back up to his property. He <br />asked what it will look like, and what it will be constructed of. <br /> <br />Commissioner Johnson responded this has not been determined, which is why this case is being <br />continued. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Frolik requested that Mr. Johnson contact City Planner <br />Rasmussen for details and status of the site plan. <br /> <br />Scott Peterson, 14401 Armstrong, requested he receive information regarding this also. <br /> <br />Larry Johnson, 7929 142nd Avenue, stated concern for drainage and it appears everything will <br />drain towards the river. He stated he is concerned about diesel spills with trucks idling. He is <br />also concerned about bright lights for security, as this is a residential area. <br /> <br />Commissioner Johnson noted the site is in a business district, although it abuts a residential <br />district. <br /> <br />The public hearing was recessed at 8:19 p.m. <br /> <br />Commission Business <br /> <br />Planning Commission/May 2, 2000 <br /> Page 9 of 23 <br /> <br /> <br />
