CASE it _~~ <br /> <br />CONSIDER WATERMAIN AND SANITARY SEWER COST CONTRiBUTION <br />AGREEMENT WITH OAKWOOD LAND DEVLEOPMENT, INC. <br /> FOR THE CITY'S NORTHWEST AND NORTHEAST SERVICE AREAS <br /> <br />By: William K. Goodrich, City Attorney <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The Council is aware that you have previously authorized a public improvement project to extend <br />municipal water to the City's Northwest and Northeast SerVice Areas and municipal sewer to the <br />Northwest Service Area (the "Project"). Plans and specifications have been drawn, easement <br />acquisition is underway and advertisement for construction bids is in process. As a part of the <br />Project, Oakwood Land Development, Inc. has offered to provide $6,000,000.00 toward the <br />Project's construction costs in consideration for the City commencing the Project to serve certain of <br />its developments in the Project Area. Oakwood requires that its $6,000,000.00 be reimbursed to it <br />through credits for water and sewer hookup fees on lots it develops as well as any other lots <br />developed in the Project Area by other developers. A draft of the proposed Cost Contribution <br />Agreement is enclosed for Council's review and consideration.
