CASE #: [ <br /> <br />CONSIDER APPROVING 2006-2007 LABOR AGREEMENT <br /> WITH LELS-PATROL <br /> <br />By: Givonna Reed, Human Resources Manager <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />On Tuesday, December 29, 2005, City staff and LELS-Patrol reached tentative agreement <br />on a two-year labor agreement. Below is a list of the terms and conditions that have been <br />tentatively agreed to. <br /> <br />Wages: <br /> <br />2006-3% plus applicable step increases <br />2007-3% plus applicable step increases <br /> <br />Insurance: <br /> <br />2006: Single: $426.50 <br />2006: Family: $665.00 <br />2007: Reopener <br /> <br />Holidays: <br /> <br />Additional four hour floater <br /> <br />Sick Leave/ 25 yrs 40% <br />Severance <br /> <br />Duration: 2 years <br /> <br />Compensatory <br />Time Off.' <br /> <br />For a one year trial period Patrol Officers will be able to elect <br />Compensatory Time Off in lieu of being paid overtime. The terms <br />of the Compensatory Time Offpolicy will be spelled out in a <br />memorandum of understanding which will sunset on December 31, <br />2006. When the policy sunsets, the City and union representatives <br />will discuss whether or not the policy will continue. <br /> <br />Court <br />Stand-by: <br /> <br />$70--2006 <br />$75--20O7 <br /> <br />Time Worked: <br /> <br />For the purpose of calculating overtime/sick leave/vacation <br />leave, an employee using paid holidays, vacation leave or sick <br />leave is considered to be working. <br /> <br />-301- <br /> <br /> <br />
