RATIFY CHANGE ORDERS FOR CONSTRUCTION <br />OF NEW RAMSEY MUNICIPAL CENTER <br /> By: Jim Way, Chief of Police <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />At the regular meeting of May 24th, 2005, Council established levels of authority for use during the <br />construction of the new Municipal Center. The following levels of authority were adopted: <br /> <br />City Council: <br /> <br />Facilities Committee: <br /> <br />Proiect Team: <br /> <br />Approval of project change orders greater than $25,000 <br />Approval of all project change orders less than $25,000 by ratification at <br />regular Council meetings <br />Approval of project change orders in excess of $10,000 and less than <br />$25,000, ratified by City Council <br />Approval of project change orders of up to $10,000 by James E. <br />Norman, City Administrator and Heidi A. Nelson, Asst. City <br />Administrator, ratified by City Council <br /> <br />This case represents the fourth ratification of change orders that have been approved by the Project <br />Team and Facilities Committee. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: <br /> <br />Ratify the following change orders for the construction of the new Ramsey Municipal Center. <br /> <br />Change Order 1021-02 ($16,261.67) <br /> Anchor bolt repair; Delete silt fence (E&S); Owner provided import fill <br />Change Order 1041-03 ($112.63) <br /> Anchor bolt repair; Revise location of louver at electrical room <br />Change Order 1081-01 $1,066.00 <br /> Clarification of window W21 <br /> <br />Total executed change orders 12/13/05 to 01/24/06: ($15,308.30) credit <br /> <br />Council Action: <br />Authorize Resolution No. 06-01-xx, Ratifying Change Orders for Construction of new Ramsey <br />Municipal Center. <br /> <br />Reviewed by: <br />City Administrator <br />Finance Officer <br /> <br />-96- <br /> <br /> <br />
