CC Work Session <br />Meeting Date: 02/14/2023 <br />Information <br />Title: <br />Review Highlights of Certain Cost Savings Resulting from the new Public Works Facility. <br />Purpose/Background: <br />2.2. <br />The City's current Strategic Plan, adopted by Resolution on May 1 Oth 2022 includes an action item 'Quantify cost <br />savings for new Public Works Facility and communicate savings to the Community' as a strategy to improve <br />public communications. <br />The purpose of this work session case is to review a variety of improved operational efficiencies and associated <br />cost savings within Public Works, such that Council may select certain topics to report back to residents and <br />stake -holders in the community. All three divisions of Public Works Streets, Parks and Recreation and Utilities <br />have been fully operating from the new facility for four seasons as of last Fall, and for the meeting staff will <br />highlight efficiencies gained by the $16.5M investment in serving the public. <br />Timeframe: <br />Up to 20 minutes with Council feedback and discussion may be expected. <br />Funding Source: <br />No funding is required for this topic report rather, the presentation will review real return -on -investments to the <br />community from the new Public Works facility. <br />Responsible Party(ies): <br />Parks & Asst.
