Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #23-041 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING PROPOSALS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #19-07, WETLAND 114P OUTLET CONTROL <br />IMPROVEMENTS <br />WHEREAS, Wetland 114P is in the southeast quadrant of the City bounded by 142nd <br />Avenue NW and Junkite St NW and is a flow through wetland; and <br />WHEREAS, trunk sanitary sewer was constructed along the east and north of the edges <br />of the wetland; and <br />WHEREAS, the construction plans did not indicate a normal water level for the wetland, <br />consequently the manhole rims were set above adjacent grade; and <br />WHEREAS, the wetland is on the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources list with <br />an established normal water level; and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Natural Resources field review of the wetland indicated <br />that the current outlet is below the established normal water level; and <br />WHEREAS, the City review of the manholes indicate existing sanitary sewer manhole <br />rims are below the normal water level established by the Department of Natural Resources; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proposes to install a concrete outlet control structure for <br />Wetland 114P, located at the end of Junkite Street NW, adjacent to the City trail that connects to <br />the cul-de-sac; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council resolution #23-038, adopted January 24, <br />2023, the Ramsey City Council approved final plans and specifications as prepared by the City <br />Engineer and authorized solicitation of quotes for said improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, three (3) quotes were received, opened, and tabulated on February 7, 2023, <br />and the following three (3) quotes were found to comply with the approved plans and specifications <br />and advertisements for quotes; and <br />Company <br />Quote <br />Dryden Excavating, Inc. <br />$551910.79 <br />Dave Perkins Contracting, Inc. <br />$10058.00 <br />One Call Contracting <br />$104,945.00 <br />
