CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at the <br />Ramsey Fire Station Number I, 15050 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Todd Cook <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember David Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Mary Jo Olson <br />Councilmember A1 Pearson <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br /> <br />Members Absent: None <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Public Works Director Dean Kapler <br />Assistant Public Works Director Brian Olson <br />Community Development Director Patrick Trudgeon <br />Human Resources Manager Giovanna Reed <br />Police Chief James Way <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m., followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec wished the residents of Ramsey a happy and prosperous New Year. He <br />announced the Ramsey Resident recently came out with a new format to keep the citizens <br />informed. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION: Anoka County's Sesquicentennial <br /> <br />Paul Pierce, President of the Anoka County Historical Society, announced the Anoka County <br />Historical Society is planning an event for the Sesquicentennial of the founding of Anoka <br />County, which will be in 2007. The Historical Society has quite a collection of photographs, but <br />not as many of Ramsey as they would like. They can put many photographs and documents onto <br />a dvd, and can also take some artifacts. They are hoping to get local interest from every <br />community in Anoka County. He announced there will be a four-day wagon train trip like in the <br />1800's.
