would like to be on the fire department. This is all in the early stages as it has to go to the
township annual meeting and Ramsey will meet with them in December. Ramsey has worked
very well with Bums in the past. Consensus of their people was that they would like to contract
with Ramsey for their entire Township.

Councilmember Pearson stated it could be a win-win situation for both Ramsey and Bums. This
would allow pretty good coverage in the northwest area of Ramsey and there would be more
access to personnel. Bums is a little more rural, maybe they would have more day-time fire
fighter candidates available.

Councilmember Elvig stated that he talked to Anoka County Commissioner Dennis Berg about
fire ratings and how much he saved on insurance due to Ramsey's Fire Department.

Mayor Gamec commented on added water opportunities with Bums also.

ADJOURNMENT

Motion by Councilmember Pearson and seconded by Councilmember Cook to adjourn the
meeting.

Motion carded. The regular meeting of the City Council adjourned at 8:20 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Jo Thieling
City Clerk

James E.
