Introduction of New Board Member <br />By: Chris Anderson, Zoning & Recycling Coordinator <br />Background: <br />CASE # 1 <br />Steve Friese resigned from the Environmental Policy Board, effective May 16, 2005. On May 24, <br />2005, the City Council appointed John Freeburg to fill the vacant seat on the Environmental <br />Policy Board. <br />Recommendation: <br />No action. <br />EPB Action <br />No action. <br />EPB: 06/06/05 <br />Wetland Buffer Ordinance Review & Discussion <br />By: Chris Anderson, Zoning & Recycling Coordinator <br />Background: <br />CASE # 2 <br />At the May 16, 2005 Environmental Policy Board meeting, the wetland buffer ordinance was <br />reviewed. Based on that discussion, staff was directed to make several more revisions. Those <br />revisions have been completed and a revised draft ordinance is ready for review. <br />The following items are included for your information: <br />a) Revised draft wetland buffer ordinance (Exhibit 1) <br />b) Draft language for seeding specifications (Exhibit 2) <br />Observations: <br />While making the requested revisions, staff noticed that there are no setbacks included in this <br />ordinance. As it is currently written, a structure (home or accessory structure) could be built <br />immediately adjacent to the buffer strip. There are a couple possible concerns with excluding a <br />
