• Develop and dispense educational materials and outreach to homeowners on water quality and wetland functions through the City's newsletter, website, QCTV, environmental expo, and the creation of a traveling MWMC map display. The Lower Rum River Water Management Organization (LRRWMO), through the Anoka Conservation District, will collaborate with the City to accomplish and publicize this information. This educational initiative will also help satisfy requirements for the NPDES II program. • Monitor established buffers to evaluate their impact and performance on their associated wetlands. Budget The City is requesting $67,000 from the MetroEnvironment Partnership Grant Program to support the cost of the inventory and assessment work necessary to implement the wetland buffer regulations. Grant funds will be used primarily to finance the inventory and assessment work, data compilation and analysis, and to generate a summarizing report and MWMC map. The City is committed to this project and will provide a match of $24,000.00 (26% of the overall project cost, 37% of the MEP request) through in -kind services.
