b. Type of Tree Stock. For all required plantings, trees shall be free of insects, <br />diseases, or mechanical injuries and have straight trunk(s) and a form <br />characteristic of the species. <br />c. Spacing at Time of Planting. The spacing of new trees must be compatible <br />with spatial site limitations and with the responsible consideration toward <br />species size when mature as outlined in the "Ramsey Tree Book". <br />d. Planting Standards. As outlined in the "Ramsey Tree Book". <br />e. Planting Standard: Soil Amendment. As outlined in the "Ramsey Tree <br />Book". <br />f. Planting Stands: Mulch. As outlined in the "Ramsey Tree Book". <br />g. Planting Distance Along Rural Section Streets <br />1. Shall be at the right-of-way unless approved by the City. <br />h. Planting Distance from Hydrants <br />1. Trees shall be planted a minimum of 15 feet from hydrants. <br />i. Vision Clearance (sight triangle) <br />1. Trees shall be located 35 feet or more from the back of curb of any <br />adjoining street <br />Planting Distance from Utilities <br />1. Trees shall be planted a minimum of 2 feet from any joint utility trench <br />whenever practicable. <br />k. Tree Preservation Tree Density Standard Calculation <br />All multi -family residential developments shall retain forty percent (40%) of the inches <br />of tree DBH existing on the lot after subdivision. <br />2. If trees in excess of sixty percent (60%) are removed from the plat due to construction, <br />they shall be replaced on a basis consistent with the tree cover requirements as outlined <br />in the applicable multi -family residential zoning district. <br />Subd. 9.
