CC Regular Session 7.1. <br />Meeting Date: 02/28/2023 <br />By: Katie Schmidt, Administrative Services <br />Information <br />Title: <br />Introduce Ordinance #23-03 Amendment to Chapter 2 Article V. - Boards, Commissions and Authorities Division <br />2. - Economic Development Authority Section 2-189 <br />Purpose/Background: <br />The purpose of this amendment to Chapter 2, section 2-189 is to bring clarity to council appointments to the <br />EDA. State Statute 469.095 provides the ability to set the term of the commissioners who are members <br />of the City Council to coincide with their term of office. Updating the ordinance would allow for clear <br />terms for councilmembers.
