Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #23-047 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING ADDENDUM TO GEOTECHNICAL REPORT FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #23-05, BARTHEL'S RUM RIVER ACRES 2ND ADDITION <br />STREET REOCNSTRUCTIONS <br />WHEREAS, geotechnical reports are required to accurately evaluate and design Pavement <br />Management Program projects; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #22-204, adopted August 23, <br />2022, the City Council awarded a contract to Haugo Geotechnical Services in the amount of <br />$9,235.00 to prepare a geotechnical report for Improvement Project #23-05, Barthel's Rum River <br />Acres 2nd Addition Street Reconstructions, including 13 soil borings and pavement cores; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #22-286, adopted December <br />131 2022, the City Engineer was ordered to prepare plans and specifications for Improvement <br />Project #23-05, Barthel's Rum River Acres 2nd Addition Street Reconstructions; and <br />WHEREAS, while preparing plans and specifications for said improvements the City <br />Engineer determined that 12 additional soil borings and pavement cores would be needed to <br />accurately evaluate pavement, subgrade soil and groundwater conditions throughout the project <br />area to ensure that the plans addressed necessary subgrade corrections; and <br />WHEREAS, a quote was secured from Haugo Geotechnical Services in the amount of <br />$7,640.00 to collect 12 additional soil borings and pavement cores and to prepare an addendum to <br />the geotechnical report for Improvement Project #23-05, Barthel's Rum River Acres 2nd Addition <br />Street Reconstructions. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />1) The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into an <br />addendum to the contract awarded to Haugo Geotechnical Services for said geotechnical <br />services for Improvement Project #23-05, Barthel's Rum River Acres 2nd Addition Street <br />Reconstructions, for and on behalf of the City of Ramsey. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />
