MEMO <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />RE: <br /> <br />February 3, 2006 <br /> <br />Economic Development Authority (EDA) <br /> <br />Sean Sullivan, Economic Development Coordinator <br /> <br />Staff Update <br /> <br />New Business Prospects (actually updates): <br /> <br />Cullinan Rigging - Currently working with them on a 30,000 SF project that would be <br />locate in Gateway North Industrial Park No. 5. Recently, questions concerning the <br />timing of the construction of McKinley and Ebony Streets has factored into the <br />development of this lot. <br /> <br />Riverside Manufacturing - Currently discussing a 30,000 SF project on the former <br />Arnie Cox Property. Nothing new to report <br /> <br />Business Grand Openings:. None <br /> <br />Business Communication Initiatives: Attendance at the Business Connection meeting was <br />approximately 50 people. The comments received from the attendee have been attached to the <br />staff update. The general consensus by an informal poll and the returned evaluations was very <br />positive. The Ramsey Business Appreciation Day is scheduled for August 15th at the Links at <br />Northfork. There is the potential of utilizing two courses it if it determined necessary. <br /> <br />Community Revitalization Proiects <br /> <br />14040 Azurite St NW: Construction of the Martin EDM building is complete and the business <br />has received its certificate pfoccupancy. <br /> <br />14140 Azurite ST NW: Construction is complete for thc Bertolas and Pekula Accounting firm <br />and they have moved in. There will be office lease oppommities from 1,000 to 5,000 Square <br />feet. <br /> <br />6030 Bunker Lake Boulevard NW: The property is being marketed to interested parties <br />including Zero-Zone who is contemplating an expansion. Zero-Zone is currently going through <br />an ownership change and when it is complete they intend to purchase this site for a future <br />expansion. Discussions with Zero-zone continue and it is anticipated that the property will be <br />sold to them early next year. <br /> <br />14280 Sunfish Lake Blvd NW: Currently the City is looking at dedicating a portion of this site <br />for part of a comprehensive drainage plan. The area of the site will be between 1 and 2 acres. <br />There is no updated information for the details of the drainage plan. This site is being considered <br />for Riverside Manufacturing.
