2) Disposition of Surplus Land Acquired for T.H. #47 Highway Project <br /> <br />Councihnember Hendriksen explained that this relates to land obtained to accommodate the T.H. <br />#47 project. Three parcels will have remaining economic value following the necessary right-of- <br />way and easement dedications. The Public Works Committee recommended that notice of the <br />availability of these parcels be advertised in the City's official newspaper and notification by <br />mail of the availability of the property to adjacent landowners, with the goal of beginning <br />negotiations with interested parties in February. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski advised that the official notice has already been published. <br /> <br />No Council action required. <br /> <br />3) 2000 Street Maintenance Program <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski noted the Public Works Committee recommendation on the 2000 Street <br />Maintenance Program has already been addressed by the Council. <br /> <br />No Council action required. <br /> <br />4) Update on Storm Drainage Utility Implementation <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen explained staff reported to the Public Works Committee that the <br />Stormwater Utility Ordinance introduced in November would require time to implement. <br /> <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Kapler stated it has been re-estimated that the number of <br />parcels is under 100. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski advised of the issues to be addressed and stated he would like to <br />provide an updated report to the Public Works Committee in February. <br /> <br />No Council action required. <br /> <br />5) Correspondence from Mn/DOT Regarding the Speed Humps on Dysprosium Street <br /> <br />Councihnember Hendriksen noted the Public Works Committee addressed the letter from the <br />State Aid office of Mn/DOT stating that the speed humps on Dysprosium Street may be in <br />conflict with State Aid rules. Mn/DOT has requested removal of the humps. He advised that the <br />Public Works Committee recommended that a response be drafted to Mn/DOT challenging the <br />authority to require removal. The Committee further recommended that a letter be drafted to the <br />Dysprosium Street residents informing that, although the City would pursue retaining the humps, <br /> <br />City Council/January 25, 2000 <br /> Page 25 of 35 <br /> <br /> <br />
