CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, February 22, 2000, at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Susan E. Anderson <br />Councilmember Margaret Connolly <br />Councilmember Terry Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James Norman <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Mark Boos <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:00 p.m. and called <br />upon Councilmember Connolly to lead in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Natalie Haas Steffen, 7007 - 164th Avenue NW, Ramsey, stated that she was a representative of <br />the Metropolitan Council and wanted to notify the City of grant dollars that are available that the <br />City has not yet al>plied for. The grant available is up to $25,000 to assist with implementing an <br />acceptable septic inspection program. She noted that the cities of Andover and Oak Grove have <br />acceptable inspection programs in place. <br /> <br />Councihnember Zimmerman inquired if as part of the acceptance of the matching grant funds <br />would the City be required to maintain a permanent septic inspection program. <br /> <br />Ms. Steffen replied yes, and noted that an inspection program is required by state law. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen questioned if the five grant requirements go beyond state law. <br /> <br />Ms. Steffen replied no. <br /> <br />City Council/February 22, 2000 <br /> Page 2 of 27 <br /> <br /> <br />
