MAYOR AND COUNCIL INPUT <br /> <br />1) Tree Sale/Pet Clinic <br /> <br /> Mayor Gamec thanked all of the people who worked on the tree sale and the pet clinic. He noted <br /> it was the most successful event yet. <br /> <br />2) Fire Station Update <br /> <br />Fire Chief Kepler explained there was a week delay due to the rcbar. He stated as of yesterday, <br />the footings had been poured. He noted the inspector questioned the adequacy of them so the <br />footings are to be tested. He stated if they are inadequate they would be pulled up and redone. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman asked when it would be completed. <br /> <br />Fire Chief Kepler stated the contract states they have 240 days to complete the structure. He <br />noted it should be completed in the fourth quarter. <br /> <br />3) Thank You to Police Chief Gustafson <br /> <br />Councilmember Connolly stated a resident had contacted her to commend Police Chief <br />Gustafson for taking the time to talk to the resident's son about a career in law enforcement. <br />Councilmember Connolly noted it was appreciated. <br /> <br />4) Highway #47 Update <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec noted there is a meeting scheduled with residents and business people on May 18, <br />2000, regarding Highway #47. He stated if anyone wants further information, contact the City <br />Engineer's Department. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman stated construction is to begin June 13, 2000. <br />Director of Public Works Kepler stated there might be activity before that date. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmcmber Zimmerman and seconded by Councilmcmbcr Connolly to adjourn <br />to executive session to discuss litigation. <br /> <br />Motion carded.
