'. <br /> <br />Selection of Consultant for Update of Zoning and Subdivision Chapter of <br />City Code <br /> <br />Community Development Director Frolik stated that Community Development Block Grant <br />Funds were approved for hiring a consultant to update Ramsey's Zoning and Subdivision <br />Chapter to implement the Comprehensive Plan that has been submitted to Met Council for <br />approval. Council approved the RFP and directed City staff to solicit proposals. The City <br />received the following proposals: <br /> <br />McCombs Frank Roos Associates, Inc. $40,000 <br />Northwest Associated Consultants $40,400 <br />Dahlgren Shardlow and Uban $42,336 <br />Hoisington Koegler Group $43,200 <br />SRF $44,713 <br />Sanders Wacker Bergly, Inc. $44,850 <br /> <br />Community Development Director Frolik stated that the proposals were reviewed by the <br />Community Development Department and the Assistant City Administrator. The top two <br />candidates were SRF and Hoisington Koegler. The principals in charge would be Charlene <br />Zimmer from SRF and Mark Koegler from Hoisington Koegler Group. Staff recommended <br />awarding the contract to Hoisington Koegler Group based on their familiarity with the draft <br />comprehensive plan. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen questioned if staff is confident that they will be implementing the <br />Council's view of the City. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Frolik noted that the consultant would be meeting to get <br />direction from the Council. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman emphasized that the City has been assured that Mark Koegler would <br />be involved with the process. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Connolly, to award the <br />contract for the zoning and Subdivision Chapter updated to the Hoisington Koegler Group in the <br />amount of $43,200. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Hendriksen, Connolly, and <br />Anderson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Gary Hanson, Bake Star, Inc., stated that he hopes that some of the input regarding the process of <br />Ace relating to City Code will be looked at. He also noted that Ace will begin removing trees on <br />the property on Monday and he would like to know the response of the City Attorney regarding <br />the concerns he brought forward earlier in the meeting. <br /> <br />City Council/June 13, 2000 <br /> Page 17 of 26 <br /> <br /> <br />
