Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #14: <br /> <br />Authorization to Enter into Grant Agreement with the Minnesota <br />Department of Trade and Economic Development <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman stated that in December 1999, the City of Ramsey formally made an <br />application to the Department of Trade and Economic Development for a Minnesota Investment <br />Fund Grant. The City was notified in May that Systematic Refrigeration, Inc. would receive a <br />grant in the amount of $300,000, in the form of a loan. The company will agree to repay the <br />State $200,000 and repay the City $100,000 which can be utilized as a revolving loan fund for <br />future businesses. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Connolly, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to authorize the <br />City to enter into a grant agreement with the Minnesota Department of Trade and Economic <br />Development for a Minnesota Investment Fund Grant in the amount of $300,000. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Connolly, Hendriksen, and <br />Anderson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #15: <br /> <br />Consider Requesting that Anoka County Electronically Record and Televise <br />the Regularly Scheduled Meetings of the Anoka County Commissioners <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated that Terry O'Connell, Franchise Administrator, for the Quad <br />Cities Cable Communications (QCTV) Commission, received a letter from Richard Swanson, <br />Chair of the North Metro Telecommunications Commission requesting support from QCTV <br />member cities to encourage the Anoka County Board to record and/or televise their regularly <br />scheduled meetings. This request was taken up by the Quad Cities Cable Commission to review. <br />It was their decision to pass the request on to the City of Ramsey for further consideration. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec inquired as to the amount of time that will be needed on cable for the Anoka <br />County Board meetings, because he would be concerned if it would take a lot of time away from <br />the playing of City information. <br /> <br />City Council/June 13, 2000 <br />Page 19 of 26 <br /> <br /> <br />
