There has been no legitimate offer made for
the portion of his front yard lost to this project. The only offer that was made, nearly a year ago,
dated July 15, 1999, was by Evergreen Land serVices who was contracted by the City. Their
offer was made site unseen and wasn't worthy of consideration and he never heard from them
again. In December, the Anoka County Court assigned commissioners to resolve the right-of-
way acquisition issues. After hearing nothing from them, he wrote a letter to Mayor Gamec
indicating the lack of action. Shortly thereafter, on May 22, 2000, they finally viewed the
property. Much of the property was already cleared in preparation for the project. Currently he
has not heard from them and according to the City Engineer, he also has received nothing from

City Council/July 11, 2000
