Continue code inspections of industrial sites and daycare facilities prioritizing by hazard level 2. Continue high level of involvement in Safety Camp program. (On-going) 3. Continue planning for the replacement of Station #2 including dedicating land on the current City Hall campus. 4. Acquire property for Station #3 after researching possible cooperative agreements with Bums Township. 5. Provide more public education through media on fire safe practices in home, school and work. (On-going) 6. Recruit and hire additional firefighters to remain at the target staff number of 40. (On-going) 7. Continue investigating a joint effort for fire service to northern Ramsey and Burns Township. EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 1. Continue to work and practice with the Police Department, Fire Department and the Ramsey Elementary School on Emergency Evacuation Plan 2. Per 2006 capital improvement plan install backup power at fire station #1. 3. Together with city staff and policy board, train on a natural disaster scenario. 4. Update Emergency Operations Plan as changes occur. 5. Monitor "old" emergency warning sirens to plan for replacement when needed.
