City Engineer Olson replied that there are other options. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated that he was thinking of an event like a tornado that may cause <br />a significant power outage and impact natural gas. <br /> <br />City Engineer Olson replied that the natural gas lines would be installed underground and less <br />likely to suffer from wind damage. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated that he would like to know more before they approve the <br />installation of the generator and requested that staff contact Reliant Energy and question them on <br />the likelihood of natural gas being affected at the same time electricity was impacted. <br /> <br />Councihnember Connolly requested more information on a maintenance contract for the <br />generator. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Anderson, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to table action <br />for fi~rther information. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Anderson, Hendriksen, Connolly, <br />and Zimmerman.
