Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Connolly, to direct the <br />City Attorney to draft a letter to the Met Council addressing the concerns of the Council as <br />outlined above. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Hendriksen, Connolly, Anderson, <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />4) Charter Commission Joint Meeting <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich noted that the Charter Commission invited the Council to a joint meeting <br />on August 22"a. <br /> <br />5) Andover Contract Rezoning <br /> <br />Councihnember Zimmerman reviewed an article in the Anoka Union titled "New Guidelines <br />adopted by City". <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman, seconded by Councilmember Connolly, to forward the <br />article from the Anoka Union titled "New Guidelines adopted by City" to the Planning <br />Commission for their review. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Zimmerman, Connolly, <br />Anderson, and Hendriksen. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />6) Joint Powers Agreement <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that he is working with Anoka County in regard to a joint powers <br />agreement to complete a study for the bridge crossing. <br /> <br />7) Joint Meeting with Anoka City Council <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman presented the Council with a letter from Anoka's Mayor requesting a <br />joint meeting. <br /> <br />Consensus of the Council was to direct staff to schedule a .joint meeting with the Anoka City <br />Council. <br /> <br />City Council/August 8, 2000 <br /> Page 13 of 14 <br /> <br /> <br />
