City Administrator has requested an additional $100 per month in deferred retirement compensation. Councilmember Elvig expressed willingness to raise the City Administrator's level of compensation. He stated Mr. Norman has given up a lot for this community and his job.' City Administrator Norman stated the City of Ramsey has a lot of good employees that should be maintained. Next year after the organizational study has been completed he would recommend consideration of classifying Ramsey under the next class of cities. The consensus of the Council was to direct staff to include the $100 per month deferred retirement compensation increase for the City Administrator on the agenda of the next Personnel Committee meeting. MAYOR, COUNCIL AND STAFF INPUT City Administrator Norman reviewed the draft letter to be submitted to the Metropolitan Council tomorrow morning as directed during the discussion of the support for the City of Anoka's CMAQ funding earlier in the meeting. He requested direction from the Council on whether the following statement should be included in the letter: "If the TAC or TAB determines that both projects are within the same transit-way corridor, the City of Ramsey maintains the position that the current ranking order should remain in place and that Ramsey retain the CMAQ funding." The consensus of the Council was that the above statement should be included in the letter to the Metropolitan Council.
