To do
this, the County would like to relocate the antenna that is currently located on the courthouse in
the City of Anoka to Bunker Hills, and a new antenna would be constructed in Ramsey. The
County is requesting a parcel of land to erect the tower in Ramsey. The best location for the
antenna would be at the current City Hall site, adjacent to the substation currently located on the
site. There are plans for the future Fire Station No. 2 to be built in this location. He explained
changes would be required to the current ordinance in relation to tower height and design in
order to construct the antenna tower. Approval of the tower would be required to go through the
Planning Commission process.

Councilmember Pearson asked how the tower would affect the substation.

City Council Work Session / January 3, 2006
Page 1 of 7
-[17-
