Counci hnember Anderson inquired if businesses receive the Ramsey Resident. <br /> <br />City Engineer Olson replied yes. <br /> <br />Councihnember Hendriksen suggested using a different term in the pre-application form rather <br />than "structure". <br /> <br />City Engineer Olson replied that he could change the wording to read (i.e. pond, structure, etc.). <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to adopt <br />Resolution #00-12-341 modifying the credits available for the storm drainage utility contingent <br />upon review of the City Attorney. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Zimmerman, Hendriksen, <br />Anderson, and Connolly. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #B: <br /> <br />Density Transition Ordinance (Case #12 from the December 12, 2000 City <br />Council Agenda) <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen inquired as to what the Council felt the next step would be regarding <br />the Density Transition Ordinance. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec replied that he thought they could continue working on the ordinance to make it <br />agreeable to the entire Council. The City has only been working on this issue for four or five <br />months and he can agree with the buffering, but cannot agree with the large lot requirements and <br />the density. He suggested that the Council continue working on the ordinance. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen inquired if the purpose of the Chapter 9 Committee was to go <br />through that process and put something together that they felt was reasonable. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec replied yes, but noted that the ordinance still has to come before the Council and <br />the Council does not always agree with everything that is presented to them. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated that this is a very heartfelt issue for many residents in the City <br />of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Councilmember Anderson stated that she is more than willing to continue working on this <br />ordinance. The City began working on this ordinance when a draft ordinance was presented to <br />the Council by Councilmember Hendriksen and, at that time, the CoUncil referred the draft <br />ordinance to the Planning Commission for their review. She stated that the City needs to look at <br />methods that have been used in other communities as well as other types of buffers that can be <br />used. She stated that she would be willing to serve on a committee to continue working on the <br />ordinance.
