Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved <br />for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #88- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING COOPERATIVE CONSTRUCTION FUNDS FROM MN/DOT FOR <br />STORM SEWER CONSTRUCTION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey submitted the storm sewer project in <br />the vicinity of Trunk Highway #10 N.W. and Sunfish Lake Blvd. N.W. to <br />Mn/DOT for cooperative agreement funds; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on August 30, 1988, Mn/DOT approved the City's initial <br />request for cooperative agreement funds for fiscal year 1989; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on August 7, 1985, Mn/DOT published a Mn/DOT Policy <br />Position Statement in reference to Highways No. 85-1 Cooperative <br />Construction Projects with Municipalities. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this position statement states that a municipality must <br />initiate a cooperative construction project by indicating the <br />municipality's intention to make certain improvements and requesting <br />State cost participation. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) The City of Ramsey proposes to construct a storm sewer in the <br />vicinity of Trunk Highway #10 N.W. and Sunfish Lake Boulevard N.W. <br /> <br /> 2) The City of Ramsey requests that Mn/DOT share in the cost of <br />the project based on the method of cost proportion outlined in the <br />August 7, 1985 Policy Position Statement. <br /> <br /> 3) The City of Ramsey is planning on letting the project out for <br />bids by May 1, 1989. <br /> <br /> 4) The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized to <br />enter into a cooperative agreement with Mn/DOT. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Counci!member and upon vote being taken <br />thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the <br />Ramsey City Council this the 13th day of September, 1988. <br /> <br /> <br />
