CODE ENFORCEMENT - MONTHLY REPORT
SEPTEMEEK 1988

By: Steve E. Lutmer, Community Development Technician

In the month of September, there were approximately nine cases, which were
forwarded to the City Attorney. Four of these cases were dismissed. The
exception was Jerry Root. Mike Fitzpatrick put together a plea bargain.
If Mr. Root came in and applied for a conditional use permit, he would
dismiss the case. Secondly, if Mr. Root did not receive this type of
zoning, we would go forth and present the charges, 110.19 (Condition of
Premises) once again.
The data back, which fits on the back of the camera and film have worked
out very well.

I am having problems enforcing City Ordinance 170.017D (Off-street
Parking). The word "commercial" is written into the code. Ramsey does not
have any land zoned commercial, but business and industrial together with
residential. The sign ordinance is also confusing at this time.

This report includes the following items:

a) Complaints issued
b) Court cases
c) Extensions
d) Complaints cleaned-up
e) Complaintants
f) Letters sent to the wrong address
g) Miscellaneous
