REQUEST TO REZONE LOTS 2 AND 3, BLOCK I, BULOW'S ADDITION, F£OH <br />B-1 BUSINESS TO R-IU RESIDEFfIAL; CASE OF HR. ARTHUR BULOW <br /> By: Plannlng Assistant Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Mr. Arthur Bulow is requesting approval to rezone Lots 2 and 3, Bulow's <br />Add/t/on, from S-i Business to £-1U Residential. The subject parcels are <br />located south of the Front Street extension and east of the Sunfish Lake <br />Blvd. extension. The adjacent properties to the east are zoned R-1U <br />Residential and Riverview Estates, located to the west~ is intended to be <br />developed with single family residential lots south of Front Street. <br />The Highway ~10 Corridor Study also indicates that this subject area should <br />be developed with single family residential lots. <br /> <br />The following items are enclosed for your information: <br /> <br /> a) Application <br /> b) Site location map <br /> c) Existing properties <br /> d) Public hearing notice <br /> e) Properties notified <br /> f) Proposed findings of fact <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />The final plat of Bulow's Addition was approved by City Council but <br />contingent upon EQB and DNR approval of Ramsey's proposed ordinance <br />amendment to decrease development standards in the Critical River Overlay <br />District. Therefore, the rezoning of Lots 2 and 3 in Bulow's Addition must <br />also be contingent upon that plat being finalized by EQB and DNR's approval <br />of the ordinance amendment. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Co~ission Action: <br /> <br />Motion to: <br />Recommend adoption of findings of fact relating to Mr. Arthur Bulow's <br />request for rezoning. <br /> <br />-and- <br /> <br />Motion to: <br />Recommend approval/denial of Mr. Arthur Bulow's request to rezone Lots <br />2 and 3, Block 1, Bulow's Addition from B-1 Business to R-1U <br />Residential. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />Administrator <br />Attorney <br />Engineer <br />Community Development Director <br /> <br />Chief of Police <br />Finance Officer <br />Public Works Superintendent <br />Planning Assistant <br /> <br /> <br />
