NOTE CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES <br /> <br />The Commission noted the following: <br /> <br />1. City Council meeting minutes dated September 13, 1988. <br /> <br />Csse ~l; <br /> <br />Reouest For A Conditional UsC Per~/t To Have A Business <br /> Identification Si~n In The R-IR Resldentlsl Districtt <br /> <br />Case Of <br /> <br />Mr. Morton stated that he has lived on the property since 1964; obtained a <br />conditional use permit to sell his home grown products in 1981; requesting <br />a permit to retain the 32 square foot sign he has been using since 1985 to <br />continue advertising products he offers for sale. Mr. Morton presented a <br />petition signed by his neighbors indicating no object{on to Mr. Morton's <br />request. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Howell and seconded by Commissioner Shumway to amend <br />the proposed findings of fact to add Item #13 indicating that the Applicant <br />has stated that the existing sign has been on the property since the <br />spring of 1985. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Hendriksen, <br />LaDue, Howell, Holm, Terry and 8humway. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Shumway and seconded by Commissioner Howell to amend <br />the proposed findings of fact to add Item #14 indicating that a petition <br />was received in support of Mr. Morton's request from the surrounding <br />neighbors. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Hendriksen, <br />LaDue, Howell, Holm, Shumway and Terry. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Shumway and seconded by Commissioner Howell to <br />recommend adoption of findings of fact relating to Mr. Stanely Morton's <br />request for a conditional use pezmit. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Hendriksen, <br />LaDue, Howell, Holm, Terry and 8humway. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Holm and seconded by Commissioner Howell to amend <br />the proposed conditional use permit to add Item ~4 indicating that the <br />permit will be in effect as long as Mr. Morton is selling nursery stock <br />items and/or as long as the 1981 permit for the business is in effect. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Hendriksen, <br />LaDue, Howell, Holm, Terry and Shumway.
