Field and Company is <br />a large insurance agency that has been established in St. Paul since 1912. <br />Mr. Olson also noted that at the time he was serving on the Cottage Grove <br />City Council he began his employment with T. C. Field and subsequently <br />resigned his council seat because of the potential for conflict of <br />interest. Mr. Olson also commented that he has had a good relationship <br />with the City of Ramsey in the past and has done a good job for Ramsey. <br />There were no representatives present to speak on behalf of First Bank <br />Sytems. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley inquired if Mr. Conway Olson would be willing to serve as <br />Ramsey's agent of record until after the election. <br /> Mr. Conway Olson replied that he would be willing to serve as Ramsey's <br /> agent of record until after the election for a fee. <br /> Mr. Hadtrath stated that he is willing to serve as the City's agent of <br /> record until after the election for no fee. <br /> Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to <br /> table selection of an agent of record until the regular Council meeting <br /> scheduled for the first Tuesday in December 1988 and to direct the City <br /> Attorney to negotiate with T. C. Field and Company to serve as Ramsey's <br /> agent of record through December 15, 1988. <br /> Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br /> Pearson and DeLuca. Voting No: None. Mr. Dennis Peck of <br /> North Fork, Inc. is requesting that a portion of the draina§e easement be <br /> vacated. Ramsey is concermed with the function of the easement and the <br /> safety cf the home. Mr. Hartley stated that City Staff is recommending <br /> that the vacation of the easement be tabled until the City Bngineer and <br /> engineers from North Fork specifically determine where the drainage <br /> easements should he relocated to. <br /> <br /> Motion by Councilmember Bawden and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to <br /> table action on vacating drainage easement on Lot 4, Block 4, North Fork. <br /> Further discussion: Councilmember Pearson inquired as to how situations <br /> like this happen.
