Mayor Reimann directed that the ordinance be revised to indicate that there <br />will be a policy of reviewing the progress of the project on a monthly <br />basis, with an in-depth review of the project after six months. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Bawden and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to <br />introduce the proposed recycling ordinance. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor £eimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />DeLuca, Pearson and Bawden. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Adoot ordinance amend~n? Chanter 110 of the C~tv Code <br /> ~rohib~tin~ seeven~in? o~ recvelable materials. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to <br />adopt ordinance ~88-16 prohibiting the removal of materials set out for <br />recycling collection and providing penalties. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />DeLuca, Pearson and Bawden. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case ~13: Adopt resolutlon reeelv~n? ~et{t{o~ to amend the <br /> City Charter. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that the City has received a petition to amend the City <br />Charter by creating a Chapter 13 for a Police Department. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Bawden and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to <br />adopt resolution #88-190 receiving a petition to amend the City Charter and <br />declaring the petition to be adequate. <br /> <br /> Motion carried. Vioting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br /> Pearson and Bawden. Voting No: Councilmember DeLuca. <br /> <br />Case f14: Re~ort <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley noted that at the last regular Council meeting, concern was <br />raised over the poor attendance of Commission members at Commission <br />meetings. Mr. Hartley reported that Commission Chairpersons have been <br />asked to monitor attendance of Commissioners; if attendance is not improved <br />by an individual, the Chairpersons will try to determine if the individual <br />wishes to continue serving on the Commission. <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann suggested that a phone call to the Commissioners reminding <br />them of the meeting might help to improve the attendance records. <br /> <br />Case ~15: Rm~ev Mun{c{oat Cent.r omrk{u? lot l~-ht;n~. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that the City has been provided with 4 options for <br />providing lighting in the City Hall parking lot.
