At that hearing, residents expressed concern with the noise
and appearance associated with a substation. As a result, United Power is
requesting that the Commission consider granting a conditional use permit
for an alternate site located 900 feet east of the originally proposed
site. This site is also zoned B-1 and is completely surrounded by B-1
Business zoning, except for the adjacent parcel to the east which is zoned
B-1 but principally used for residential.
For yo~r iuformation, the following items are enclosed:

a) Application
b) Site location map
c) Public hearing notice
d) Properties notified
e) Proposed findings of fact
f) Proposed conditional use permit

Recommendation:

Commission Action:

Motion to:
Recommend adoption of findings of fact relating to United Power
Association's request for a conditional use permit.

-and-

Motion to: ' ' 's
Recommend approval/denial of United Power Assoczatzon request for a
conditional use permit.

Review Checklist:

Administrator
Attorney
Engineer
Planning Assistant

Chief of Police
Finance Officer
Public Works Superintendent
Other
