CASE ~2: <br /> <br />HEQUEST FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO NAVE AN ADVERTISING SIGN; <br />CASH OF HR. JOHN NOARD <br /> By: Community Development Director Anne Norris <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Mr. John Noard is requesting a conditional use permit to have an <br />advertising sign at his new facility at 6760 Hwy. 410 N.W. Nr. Noard is <br />proposing to construct a sign advertising his business and the brands of <br />recreational equipment he carries. The total square footage of the sign is <br />approximately 200 square feet. As you recall, Section 170.05 of the City <br />Code states that advertising signs may be up to 350 square feet in size; <br />however, the Code also requires conditional use per. its for all advertising <br />signs. <br /> <br />For your information, the following items are enclosed: <br /> <br /> a) Application <br />b) Site location map <br />c) Hearing notice <br />d) Properties notified <br />e) Proposed findings of fact <br />f) Proposed conditional use permit <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />The Building Official issued a sign permit to Mr. Noard to erect a sign <br />approximately 100 square feet in size as Section 170.05 of the City Code <br />allows for a 100 square foot identification sign on any property without a <br />conditional use permit. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Co,~ission Action: <br /> <br />Motion to: <br /> <br />Recommend adoption of findings of fact relating to Mr. John Noard's <br />request. <br /> <br />-and- <br /> <br />Motion to: <br /> <br />Recommend approval/denial of Mr. John Noard's request for a <br />conditional use permit. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />Administrator <br />Attorney <br />Engineer <br />Community Development Direct or <br /> <br />Chief of Police <br />Finance Officer <br />Public Works Superintendent <br />Building Official <br /> <br /> <br />
