PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CITY OF RA~t$EY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Namsey Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing on <br />Tuesday, August 2, 1988 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. <br />N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota regarding Mr. David Schulte's request for a <br />conditional use permit to grade and remove excess materials from property. <br /> <br />Members Present: Mr. Gerald Zimmerman, Chairman <br /> Mr. Michael Terry <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator David Hartley <br />Community Development Direct or Anne Norris <br /> <br />Mr. Jim Holm <br />Mr. Jim Howell <br />Mr. Roy Shumway <br />Mr. Terry Hendriksen <br />Mr. Charles LaDue <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairman Zimmerman called the public hearing to order at 9:25 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Ms. Norris stated that David Schulte is proposing to remove excess <br />materials from portions of 0akwood Hills; she has received no other <br />specific information and recommends continuing the public hearing. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Mike ~x - 16284 Uranium Street N.W. - Stated that his major concern is <br />that Mr. Schulte has been known not to complete his developments on time <br />and within budget. <br /> <br />Bill Weiss - 16035 Nowthen Blvd. - Stated that he is concerned about the <br />amount of soil to be removed from the property and what will happen to it. <br />The activity on the property and the dry weather conditions have caused a <br />lot of dust problems. Stated that he also hopes Mr. Schulte will follow <br />through and complete the project. <br /> <br />David Schulte - Stated that per the city's direction, the lots have to be <br />brought down to a certain grade and it will be necessary to remove 50,000- <br />75,000 yards of material. The Oakwood Hills plat has been approved and <br />will be developed accordingly. <br /> <br />Bill Weiss - Suggested that a condition of the conditional use permit be <br />Planning & Zoning Commission Public Hearing/August 2, 1988 <br /> <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
