Chmrltable Gambling: <br /> Mr. Hartley recommended that City Council introduce an ordinance to amend <br /> Chapter 130 relating to charitable gambling. That amendment would <br /> eliminate the requirement that an organization must have demonstrated <br /> performing substantial services for Ramsey in the 3 years preceding the <br /> date of application for a charitable gambling license. <br /> Motion by Councilmember Bawden and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to <br /> amend Section 130.124 (a) of the charitable gambling license ordinance to <br /> read as follows: <br /> <br /> 'No organization shall be eligible for a gambling license unless, for <br /> the three (3) years immediately preceding the date of application, it <br /> has demonstrated that during that period it has performed substantial <br /> charitable services.' <br /> <br />City Council/August 23, 1988 <br /> <br />Page 11 of 15 <br /> <br /> <br />
