Motion by Councilmember Pearson and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to <br />approve Gerald Bauer's preliminary plat of Green Valley Estates contingent <br />upon approval of accese onto Ceunty Road No. 63 by the County Highway <br />Department and meeting the recommendations of the City Engineer. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Serteberg, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. Abstain: Councilmember Bawden. <br /> Case ~6: Recommendation From Economic D¢¥elonment Co~iesion Re~ardin~ <br /> Homeowner's Guide And Cobden{tv Fast Booklet: <br /> Ms. Norris stated that the Economic Development Commission is proposing to <br /> produce a homeowners brochure that would be a general information guide for <br /> residents and a fact book containing demographic information for developers <br /> and potential businesses. <br /> Motion by Coun¢ilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Bawden to <br /> authorize the expenditure of funds for the production of two brochures. <br /> Motion carried. Chmrltable Gambling: <br /> Mr. Hartley recommended that City Council introduce an ordinance to amend <br /> Chapter 130 relating to charitable gambling. That amendment would <br /> eliminate the requirement that an organization must have demonstrated <br /> performing substantial services for Ramsey in the 3 years preceding the <br /> date of application for a charitable gambling license. <br /> Motion by Councilmember Bawden and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to <br /> amend Section 130.124 (a) of the charitable gambling license ordinance to <br /> read as follows: <br /> <br /> 'No organization shall be eligible for a gambling license unless, for <br /> the three (3) years immediately preceding the date of application, it <br /> has demonstrated that during that period it has performed substantial <br /> charitable services.' <br /> <br />City Council/August 23, 1988 <br /> <br />Page 11 of 15 <br /> <br /> <br />
