CASE #5: <br /> <br />REQUEST FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO: 1) ESTABLISH AND OPERATE A <br />LANDFILL FOR WASTE CONCRETE AND CONCKETE-KELATED HATERIALS; AND <br />2) EXCAVATE AND FILL MATERIALS IN THE OPERATION OF THE <br /> PROPOSED LANDFILL; CASE OF BLADHOLM BROTHERS <br /> By: Community Development Director Anne Norris <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Bladholm Brothers is requesting a conditional use permit to establish and <br />operate a landfill on the old Prestressed property. Bladholm is proposing <br />to establish and operate a landfill in order to dispose of approximately <br />45,000 cubic yards of waste concrete from past, current and future pipe and <br />prestressed concrete product manufacturing. Bladholm is proposing to <br />operate this landfill over a 24 year period within a 13.3 acre site. <br /> <br />In addition, Bladholm Brothers is requesting a conditional use permit to <br />excavate soils from the site for the landfill operation. Bladholm is <br />proposing to remove approximately 25,400 cubic yards of soils from the <br />site.
