REQUEST FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PEP, HIT TO OPERATE A FIREWOOD SALES <br />BUSINESS AND STORA~E OF A SECOND COHMERCIAL VEHICLE ON PROPERTY; <br /> CASE OF MR. RONALD HANSON <br /> By: Planning Assistant Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Mr. Ronald Hanson is requesting a conditional use permit to operate a <br />firewood sales business on his property at 14820 St. Francis Blvd. N.W. <br />Mr. Hanson has stated that his parcel is 5 acres in size but the City's <br />half-sections indicate that Mr. Hanson's parcel is approximately 3/4 of an <br />acre is size ad the other 4 acres is part of a larger parcel. The 3/4 of <br />an acre is zoned R-1U Residential and the remaining 4 acres is zoned R-3U <br />Residential. In either zoning, a conditional use permit would be required <br />to sell firewood. <br /> <br />Section 170.017D of the Ramsey City Code permits the storage of one 1-ton <br />vehicle bearing a commercial license and prohibits the storage of any <br />commercial vehicle exceeding one ton in the Residential district. Mr. <br />Hanson's firewood sales business involves the use of a 1-ton pickup.
