PUBLIC WORKS <br />Objective: Provide quality and cost-effective public works services that meet City-wide <br />objectives. <br /> <br />Engineering Work Plan I. Revise and update all water distribution, storm water system, and sanitary <br /> sewer utility mapping. (On-going) <br /> 2. Create data base information for utilities and storm water management. <br /> 3. Update/revise 7 yr street maintenance schedule, looking at funding options <br /> for future "high dollar" maintenance years. <br /> <br /> 6. Develop priority map identifying potential problems in case of lift station <br /> failure. 2 of 6 complete (completion in 2006) <br /> 7. Continue to develop plan review checklist. <br /> 8. License appropriate Engineer staff for operating communal septic systems for <br /> preparation of cluster housing opportunities. <br /> 9. Prioritize neighborhood connections for future CIP <br /> 10. Research feasibility of regional utilities (water treatment, waste water) <br /> 11. Complete storm water management plan for year 2007. <br /> <br />Streets Work Plan 1. Continue storm water inspection system and prioritize corrections as <br /> necessary. <br /> 2. Continue street maintenance performance evaluation program for seal coating <br /> and overlay projects utilizing the street rating program with engineering and <br /> PW staff. <br /> 3. Final upgrades to metal building (floor drains) <br /> 4. Continue educating residents on plowing process and staking policy. (On- <br /> going) <br /> 5. Continue OSHA/MNDOT training in equipment operation. (On-going) <br /> 6. Generate estimate for hardware/software to produce signs in-house (2007 <br /> budget proposa0 <br /> 7. Formalize policy for private streets~walk~trail clearing. <br /> 8. Prioritize/document walk and trail maintenance service including hydrant <br /> clearing. <br /> 9. Investigate feasibility offueling station at Public Works. <br /> 10. Banding for infrastructure within Town Center. <br /> <br />6 <br /> <br /> <br />
