CASE # <br /> <br /> ADOPT ORDINAaNCE TO REZONE CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM B-1 BUSINESS <br /> AND PUBLIC/QUASI-PUBLIC TO PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT, AND R-1 <br /> RESIDENTIAL TO PUBLIC/QUASI-PUBLIC; <br /> CASE OF GM LAND DEVELOPMENT <br /> By: Asst. Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />On November 22, 2005, the City Council introduced an ordinance to reconfig~tre the existing <br />zoning classifications (B-1 Business, Public-Quasi Public, and Low Density Residential) to <br />facilitate development of the proposed plat of Meadow. GM Land Development has submitted <br />an application for final plat approval and the adoption of the rezoning ordinance at this time <br />would be appropriate. The following items are enclosed for your information: <br /> <br /> a) Site location map <br /> b) Proposed final plat <br /> c) Resolution #05-11-390 adopting Findings of Fact on November 22, 2005 <br /> d) Proposed Ordinance <br /> <br />Notification: <br /> <br />State statute requires notification of the public hearing to owners of property within 350 feet of <br />the subject property. Staff attempted to notify property owners within 700 feet of the subject <br />property of the rezoning hearing held last November. <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />In accordance with the provisions oft.he City Charter, the proposed ordinance to rezone Meadow <br />is now eligible for adoption. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />City Staff recommends adoption of the ordinance. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember and seconded by Councilmember to adopt <br />Ordinance #06- to rezone certain property from B-1 Business and Public/Quasi-Public to <br />Planned Unit Development; and R-1 Residential to Public-Quasi-Public. <br /> <br />Reviewed by: <br />Community Development Director <br /> <br />CC: 02/28/06 <br /> <br />Copies to: <br />City Attorney <br /> <br />-167- <br /> <br /> <br />
